L-Foot Fin / Wrap-On Fin

L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes Also referred to as Wrap-On Finned Tubes, these are ideal for applications where temperatures remain below 300°F, offering necessary tube wall protection at lower temperatures. L-Foot tension wound finned tubes are engineered with a thin aluminium fin strip, tightly wound in a helical pattern around the tube for superior performance. A 'foot' is initially formed on one side of the fin strip, lending the name L-Foot to this innovative design. Following this, the strip is meticulously wound around the tube, with the foot making firm contact with the tube's outer surface. The short horizontal limb of each L fin is in complete contact with the base tube's surface, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Tension in the fin strip during wrapping ensures the fin foot is forcefully seated against the tube, maintaining a secure hold. L-footed finned tubes deliver unparalleled heat transfer capabilities at reduced temperatures.
