The heat transfer tube of the boiler employs the innovative H-shaped fin tubes, meticulously engineered by symmetrically welding two steel pieces with central arcs onto the raw tube, creating the distinctive 'H' shape. Hence, the name H-finned tube. The fins of the H-finned tube boast a rectangular, near-square design, approximately twice the tube's diameter in length, providing an extended and efficient heating surface. For enhanced structural rigidity, the H-finned tube can also be crafted into a 'double H' configuration, ideal for accommodating longer tube rows.

The H fin tube excels in recovering waste heat from power station boilers, industrial boilers, kilns, and ship power plants, significantly boosting fuel utilization while strategically positioned at the system flue's tail as a heat exchange element.

H-type finned tube heat exchanger elements offer remarkable heat transfer capabilities, superior self-cleaning attributes, and effectively reclaim flue gas waste heat during boiler renovations. The convective heat transfer coefficient is directly proportional to fin pitch but inversely related to fin height and width. The overall heat transfer capacity hinges on fin efficiency, the convective heat transfer coefficient, and finned ratio. An increase in fin height and width results in a higher pressure drop.

To enhance heat exchange efficiency and expand surface heat transfer, H-type finned tubes have been extensively adopted in boilers and waste heat recovery systems recently. The H-finned tube serves as the cornerstone of heat exchange in exhaust gas boilers, boasting a myriad of unparalleled advantages.

(1) Outstanding Wear Resistance

Expertly arranged in line, the H-finned tube heat exchanger features fins that ingeniously divide space into small sections, ensuring even airflow distribution. Compared with traditional smooth tube heat exchangers with staggered layouts or spiral finned alternatives, the wear life of the H-finned variant is exponentially increased, lasting 3 to 4 times longer under similar conditions.

(2) Minimized Fouling

Fouling typically occurs on the dorsal and windward sides of the tube. Thanks to its staggered arrangement, the tube bundle is efficiently flushed, significantly reducing back-side fouling. An optimal self-cleaning capability is achieved at the right wind speed.
