L-Foot Fin / Wrap-On Fin

L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes Known also as Wrap-On Finned Tubes, these are perfect for applications where temperatures remain below approximately 300°F, offering necessary tube wall protection for low-temperature settings. L-Foot tension wound finned tubes are ingeniously crafted with a thin aluminium fin strip, precisely wound helically around the tube circumference for maximum efficiency. A 'foot' is meticulously formed on one side of the fin strip, giving rise to the name 'L-Foot.' The strip is then tightly wound around the tube, with the foot in firm contact with the tube's exterior surface, ensuring stability and efficiency. The short horizontal limb of each L fully contacts the base-tube surface, providing comprehensive coverage and maximized heat transfer. Tension in the fin strip during wrapping ensures the fin foot seats forcefully on the tube, holding it securely in place for enhanced performance. L-footed finned tubing is designed to deliver superior heat transfer at lower temperatures, making it a cost-effective solution. Its unique L-shaped design steadfastly holds fins in place, effectively resisting both heat cycling and high-velocity air vibration.
