L-Foot tension wound finned tubes comprise a thin aluminium fin strip tightly wound in a helical pattern around the tube circumference. An 'L-foot' is skillfully formed on one side of the fin strip, lending the design its name. Subsequently, the strip is firmly wound around the tube, with the foot making secure contact with the tube's outer surface. The short horizontal limb of each L is in firm contact with the base-tube surface, ensuring complete coverage. Tension in the fin strip during wrapping firmly seats the fin foot on the tube, maintaining a robust and stable hold. This L-footed finned tubing is designed for maximum heat transfer efficacy at lower temperatures.
