L-Foot Fin / Wrap-On Fin

L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes Known as Wrap-On Finned Tubes, these are ideal for applications under 300°F, offering exceptional tube wall protection at low temperatures. L-Foot tension wound finned tubes are constructed from thin aluminium fin strips tightly wound helically around the tube. A distinctive 'foot' is crafted on one side of the fin strip, giving the L-Foot its name. The strip is meticulously wound around the tube, with the foot securely resting on the tube's exterior surface. The short horizontal limb of each L ensures comprehensive contact with the base-tube surface for optimal coverage. The tension in the fin strip during wrapping provides a firm seat for the fin foot, ensuring it remains steadfastly in place. L-footed finned tubing is designed for maximum heat transfer efficiency at lower temperatures. Its unique L-shaped configuration guarantees fins are securely held, resisting heat cycling and high-velocity air vibration.
