L-Foot Fin / Wrap-On Fin

Our L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes also called Wrap-On Finned Tubes, are expertly crafted for applications where temperatures remain below approximately 300 degrees Fahrenheit, perfect for low-temperature environments requiring a degree of tube wall protection. These tubes are constructed with a thin aluminium fin strip meticulously wound helically around the tube circumference for optimal performance. A 'foot' is skillfully formed on one side of the fin strip, giving it the distinctive L-Foot name. The strip is then expertly wound around the tube, ensuring the foot bears firmly on the tube's outer surface. The short horizontal limb of each L is designed to be in complete contact with the base-tube surface, providing full coverage. The tension applied to the fin strip during wrapping ensures the fin foot is securely seated and firmly held in place, enhancing durability. Our L-footed finned tubing achieves maximum heat transfer even at lower temperatures, making it highly efficient. The unique L-shaped design holds the fins firmly, making them resilient against heat cycling and high-velocity air vibrations.
