Longitudinal Finned Tube Overview

Crafted with precision, our finned tubes are meticulously constructed from carbon, alloy, and stainless steel, using the advanced resistance welding method with overlap (method 221 / RSEW). This innovative technique ensures unparalleled precision and durability.

Utilizing a soft regime approach (direct welding with side current), this method welds fins always in pairs on opposite sides of the tube, forming a U-profile. This design outperforms traditional contact surfaces by enhancing heat transfer efficiency, fortifying joint strength, and ensuring uniform fin distribution around the tube’s circumference. The fins are expertly shaped through gradual rolling, minimizing internal stress in the final profile. A notable advantage of this method is achieving a maximum profile length of 7 meters. While typically crafted from carbon steel for optimal heat conduction, fins can also be customized from high-strength steel, Cr-Mo-Ni, austenitic, ferritic, and duplex steels upon request. Fin heights range from 5 to 32 mm, adjustable per customer specifications. Seamless tubes are available in the same material spectrum as the fins, from carbon to duplex steels (ASTM, EN, GOST). This meticulously controlled production method guarantees longitudinally finned tubes with a tight tolerance of ± 6 mm.
