The H finned tube heat exchanger is meticulously designed with an aligned configuration, where H fins partition the space into multiple smaller areas. This design effectively balances the airflow, granting it a wear life 3 to 4 times longer compared to smooth tube exchangers or spiral finned heat exchangers arranged in a staggered formation.
(2) Minimized fouling
Fouling typically forms on both the dorsal and windward sides of the tube. The staggered configuration of the tubes enables easy flushing of the tube bundle, resulting in reduced fouling on the backside. At optimal wind speeds, it possesses an excellent self-cleaning capability. Straight channels formed along both sides of the H finned tube enhance soot removal efficiency, especially when a soot blower is utilized.
