The KL fin is also known as the knurled L fin. This exceptional finned tube mirrors the Wrap-On fin design, crafted with a blend of both Wrap-On and Embedded techniques. Our fins originate from meticulously prepared strips, elegantly shaped into an L configuration, akin to the classic L type, then artistically rolled into a taper resulting in an exquisite curl. The fin is then masterfully helically wound onto the tube in a seamless, continuous loop under precise tension. This process ensures that the tube is embraced snugly by the fin. A precision spinning tool knurls the base tube, allowing the foot of the fin to intricately engage with the knurling, forming an impeccable bond and elevating thermal efficiency.
When utilizing the perfect fin strip, each fin foot seamlessly meets the next, ensuring there are no gaps, creating an uninterrupted surface. Ends of the fins are affixed in the same manner as traditional L fins to ensure stability. The LL-type fin tube is adept for applications involving temperatures up to 350°F (177°C).
