L-Foot Fin / Wrap-On Fin

L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes also referred to as Wrap-On Finned Tubes, are specifically designed for applications where temperatures remain below 300 degrees Fahrenheit, offering low-temperature solutions with added tube wall protection. These tubes consist of a thin aluminium fin strip meticulously wound helically around the tube circumference, providing effective heat transfer. A strategically formed "foot" on one side of the fin strip defines the L-Foot design, enhancing contact and stability. The strip is tightly wound around the tube, with the foot resting firmly on the outer surface for optimal contact. Each L's short horizontal limb maintains complete contact with the base-tube surface, ensuring comprehensive coverage. The tension in the fin strip during winding ensures the fin foot is securely seated on the tube, maintaining a firm hold for efficiency. L-footed finned tubing consistently delivers peak heat transfer efficiency, even at lower temperatures.
