L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes Also known as Wrap-On Finned Tubes, these are ideal for applications below 300°F, offering necessary protection for the tube wall in low-temperature settings. L-Foot tension wound finned tubes feature a thin aluminium fin strip expertly wound around the tube's circumference. An initial 'foot' is crafted on one side of the fin strip, lending the name L-Foot. Subsequently, the strip is tightly wound around the tube, with the foot ensuring consistent contact with the outer surface. Each L's short horizontal limb ensures full coverage of the base-tube surface, optimizing performance. The tension applied during wrapping ensures the fin foot is securely seated, maintaining the fin's stability. Maximize heat transfer efficiently at lower temperatures with L-footed finned tubing. The distinctive L-shaped design secures fins to endure heat cycling and the rigors of high-velocity air flow. This design also provides a level of atmospheric protection, guarding the tube wall against corrosion. A broad contact interface between the tube and fin enhances heat transfer capabilities.
