L-Foot Tension Wound Finned Tubes These, also known as Wrap-On Finned Tubes, are perfect for applications below 300°F, offering crucial tube wall protection at lower temperatures. Crafted with precision, L-Foot tension wound finned tubes feature a thin aluminium fin strip tightly helically wound around the tube. The 'foot' is ingeniously formed on one side of the fin strip, giving L-Foot its distinctive name. This strip is then expertly wound, with the foot bearing firmly on the tube's outer surface. The short horizontal limb of each L maintains full contact with the base-tube surface, ensuring complete coverage. The tension in the fin strip, as it wraps around the tube, ensures the fin foot is firmly seated, maintaining its position with precision.
